In a world since Covid-19 we have seen more and more QR codes. QR codes are convenient and easy to use however, they also come with an unfortunate dark side.


How the Scam Works


The scammer prints out a fake QR code and then puts it over a legitimate one. You come along unsuspecting and scan the fake QR code. The code may direct you to a phishing website or inadvertently download malware or a malicious app.
